The Port Orange Regional Library is located at the City Center Municipal Complex. It’s a part of the Volusia County Public Library System, one of six regional branches of the county-wide network of libraries. The first library in Port Orange was dedicated in 1984 and located in a storefront in the Riverwood Shopping Center. In 1985, it was moved to the second floor of the City Hall, which is located at the City Center Complex. By 1996, there was a growing demand from the residents of Port Orange for more services. So, the library moved into a new 25,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility.

This new Port Orange Library is still located in the City Center, which is centered around a picturesque lake and community park. The perfect setting for a library. Volunteers and staff offer personalized service in a peaceful, friendly atmosphere. The library houses over 100,000 items, a separate children’s room and a large auditorium for special presentations and programs. The library has a book club that meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 10:30AM in the auditorium, and several book sales are held throughout the year. Books are donated for the sales by community members and proceeds are used for library needs. Free movies are also shown in the library auditorium several times per month. The Port Orange Regional Library is located at 1005 City Center Circle, Port Orange, Florida 32129. Telephone: 386-322-5152.
